Christian Alicea is one of the most versatile and promising emerging voices in tropical music. Born in Lares, Puerto Rico, his sound blends the essence of salsa with contemporary influences like Reggaeton, Cumbia, Plena, Afrobeats, and other Caribbean Rhythms, creating a fresh and vibrant style that resonates with new Audiences while honoring the genre’s traditions.

On June 26, 2025, Christian released his 3rd studio album under partnership with Rimas Entertainment, Swingkete Vol. 1 – Maraton, A Musical Tribute to his Cultural Roots featuring collaborations with Jowell & Randy, J Alvarez, Frabian Wli, Eliot “El Mago D Oz” and DJ Buddha. Within a month, the album was praised by Billboard, which ranked it #9 on its list of the 25 Latin Albums of 2025 (so far). It also received acclaim from Rolling Stone, and Remezcla named him one of top rising Puerto Rican artist to watch during Bad Bunny’s San Jaun residency.

The first single “Hello, what’s up?” successfully remained on Billboard Tropical airplay chart since its release in February til August, reaching the Top 10. With the follow up singles “Me Lo Gozo” and “Carrusel”, Christian highlights his ability to innovate within the genre whilw staying true to his roots.

At the 2024 Latin Grammy’s, he shared the stage with Marc Anthony, Tito Nieves, Grupo Niche, La India, Oscar D’Leon, Sergio George & Luis Figueroa to pay tribute to the salsa genre.
