COUNCIL OAK STEAKS & SEAFOOD DEBUTS NEW ‘SOCIAL HOUR’ MENU
Menu Features Elegant Bites and Special Wine and Cocktail Pricing
Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, a fine dining restaurant specializing in prime steaks, fresh seafood, and featuring a Wine Spectator-recognized wine list, will begin serving its “Social Hour” menu, complete with special pricing on select wines and featured cocktails, starting on November 6.
Open since 2007, Council Oak Steaks & Seafood is thrilled to unveil the Social Hour menu, which will be available seven days a week between 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. in the Council Oak Lounge. Chef Francisco Pomalaza, chef de cuisine at Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, developed the menu to reflect the restaurant’s elegant plating and classic new American flavors. The menu is comprised of six “Signature Bites,” as well as three classic cocktails and five distinctive wines by the glass. Cocktail and wine selections will be subject to change based on availability.
“We are excited to introduce these inventive new dishes to Council Oak,” says Dawn Lazo, Vice President of Food & Beverage at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa. “Each one features a modern take on classic flavors, which is something our something our chefs have become known for over the last 10 years.”
Each menu item reflects the classic, fresh flavors guests have come to love at Council Oak Steaks & Seafood. The Grilled Brioche & Mushroom Toast ($13) topped with truffle crème fraîche and savory Manchego cheese with pickled shallots and micro chive, and towering Fried Green Tomato Caprese Stack ($13) layered with burrata crème and drizzled with cilantro-spinach pesto and roasted red pepper jam, are excellent vegetarian-friendly options.
Of course, the restaurant’s prime meats and seafood offerings are also on display for Social Hour. The Grilled Beef Tenderloin Skewers ($17) served with blended herb chimichurri and crispy shallots, as well as the Council Oak Meatball ($15) marinated in house made marinara and served with Parmigiano Reggiano, both feature Council Oak’s dry-aged beef. Guests will enjoy Chef Pomalaza’s Korean-style take on BBQ Kurobuta Pork Belly ($15) with sweet kimchi glaze, parsnip chips and refreshing cucumber slaw. For a taste of the fresh seafood on offer, the Skuna Bay Salmon Tartare ($15) is a raw preparation with three citrus dressing, pickled red onions, citrus crème fraiche and crispy potato skin that showcases the freshness of the Vancouver Island fish. About Council Oak Steaks & Seafood
After its 2007 opening inside Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, Council Oak Steaks & Seafood quickly became Tampa’s number one destination for prime steaks, fresh seafood and an award-winning wine list served in a contemporary upscale atmosphere. It’s considered fine dining at its best. All steaks are dry aged 21-28 days and cut right in the restaurant’s very own on-site butcher shop. The fresh fish is line-caught in Florida and the Alaskan king crab legs are right from the Bering Sea. Custom salt water tanks also keep the live Maine lobsters fresh.
The namesake for Council Oak Steaks & Seafood comes from an actual tree located on the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF) reservation in Hollywood (Fla.) where ceremonial and official STOF business is conducted.
