Freak on a Leash Bio
Over the past 10 years, Freak On A Leash have worked hard at creating a name for themselves in the Chicagoland tribute scene while replicating the golden days of Korn. The band is well-known for their high energy performances and unique ability to create a party atmosphere that you typically would not encounter with a heavier band. What was intended to be a one-time performance, evolved into a decade of intense live shows, paving the way for the band to achieve some pretty impressive milestones along the way.
After a few headlining performances at the House Of Blues in downtown Chicago, the band was presented with a unique opportunity to join forces with Brian “Head” Welch from Korn at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park, Illinois, in support of his documentary on Showtime. A few years later, Freak On A Leash was recruited by Red Bull Energy Drink to perform alongside Danny Brown during the Red Bull Sound Clash at Radius in Chicago, putting an even bigger spotlight on the band throughout the region.
Recently celebrating their 10 year anniversary, the guys have been on the grind, working to expand their reach throughout the Midwest, in hopes of taking the project to a National level one day. Through strong live performances and an uncanny representation of the music as a whole, Freak On A Leash have done more than enough to gain the respect they deserve from Chicagoland while paying tribute to one of the most influential bands in metal history.
