Mike Epps

Michael Elliot Epps is an American stand‑up comedian and actor.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and raised in a large family, Epps’ natural comedic talent was evident early on. He began performing stand‑up comedy as a teenager before relocating to Atlanta, where he honed his craft at the Comedy Act Theater.

Epps later moved to New York City, gaining national recognition with an appearance on Def Comedy Jam in 1995. His film breakthrough followed in 1997 with a starring role opposite Vin Diesel in Strays, a gritty drama exploring relationships and substance abuse. In 1999, he also appeared on the HBO crime series The Sopranos.

Today, Epps remains a dynamic force in comedy and film, known for his sharp wit and memorable performances.
