Vir Das: I say we RUN!

With more than 100 stand-up shows, 35 plays, 18 films, eight television shows and six comedy specials to his name, Vir Das has established himself as a global comedy sensation.

Born in Dehradun, India, and raised in Nigeria, Das studied Economics and Performance at Knox College in Illinois, where he first began exploring stand-up comedy. After further honing his craft through performance training, he returned to India and quickly made his mark on the country’s comedy scene.

Das made his Netflix debut in 2017 with Abroad Understanding, introducing international audiences to his unique comedic perspective. Blending sharp observations with experiences shaped by life across cultures, Das brings a distinctly Indian voice and global outlook to the stage.
