Monster’s Ball Featuring DJ Diesel Heading for Hard Rock Cafe Saturday, October 28 at 10 p.m.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa will host its annual Monster’s Ball in Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday, October 28, beginning at 10 p.m.

The event will be hosted by Brian Fink of 93.3FLZ and feature a $10,000 costume contest.

Tickets priced $40 are available now at or via Ticketmaster.

The 2023 edition of the Monster’s Ball will feature DJ Diesel. Sara Benyo, a rapidly rising electronic music songwriter, vocalist, producer, and DJ, will open the event.

DJ Diesel is better known as Shaquille O'Neal, one of the most dominant basketball players in NBA history. He’s one of the greatest entertainers on earth.

At 7'1" and 325 pounds, O’Neal’s larger-than-life personality and powerful athleticism have resulted in worldwide admiration and one of the most passionate fan bases in sports and entertainment.

The Hall of Famer first discovered electronic dance music after crashing the festival TomorrowWorld in 2014, a milestone event that changed his life forever after being exposed to DJs such as Steve Aoki and Skrillex.

O’Neal has been passionate about music from a very young age. At 14, after he saw Public Enemy live for the first time while sandwiched in a crowd of 5,000 people, he became fixated on DJ'ing.

He cut his neighbors' grass, walked dogs, and scraped together any cash that he could until he saved up $200 to buy his first set of turntables at a local pawn shop. Fast forward to 1993, and his rap album, ‘Shaq Diesel,' did the unthinkable of selling over a million copies and peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard 100 cementing him as the only athlete ever with a platinum-selling album.

Since becoming DJ Diesel, O’Neal has released several major bass records with acts such Steve Aoki, Riot Ten, NGHTMRE, Riot Ten, Eliminate, 4B, and many more.

He has cemented the title of ‘the biggest DJ in the world' and graced main stages around the globe from Lost Lands to Tomorrowland, EDC LV, Lost Lands, Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo, Forbidden Kingdom, Beyond Wonderland and even launched his own festival series – Shaq’s Bass All Stars – all while balancing a Las Vegas residency at the WYNN (XS Nightclub and Encore Beach).
