Sir Rod Stewart CBE is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with more than 250 million albums and singles sold worldwide. His signature voice, style, and songwriting have transcended all genres of popular music—from rock, soul, and R&B to the standards and big band swing—making him one of the few stars to enjoy chart-topping albums in every decade of his five-decade+ career.
Born in North London with Scottish Celtic roots, Stewart first made his mark in the 1960s with Long John Baldry, Steampacket, Shotgun Express, and later through seminal work with Jeff Beck and the Faces. He then launched a solo career that produced some of the biggest hits in music history, including “Maggie May,” “Forever Young,” “Rhythm of My Heart,” “Tonight’s the Night,” “I Don’t Want to Talk About It,” “You Wear It Well,” and “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy.”
The 2000s saw Sir Rod record five acclaimed volumes of his Great American Songbook series, pushing his career into uncharted territory and creating the biggest-selling ongoing series of new music recordings in history. His rekindled love of songwriting continued with the release of his 31st studio album, The Tears of Hercules (2021), which marked his fourth album of original songs since 2013’s Time—a chart-topping record that reached the Top 10 in the U.S. and ten countries worldwide, including No. 1 in the U.K., where it was certified double-platinum. In addition, Stewart revisited some of his greatest hits with You’re in My Heart: Rod Stewart with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. A timeless record which spent three weeks at No. 1, making it Stewart’s tenth chart-topping album—a milestone in an already remarkable career.
In 2024, Stewart released Swing Fever, his 33rd studio album and a collaboration with Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra. The sparkling salute to the timeless big band era debuted at No. 1 in the U.K., giving Stewart his 11th career chart-topper and placing him alongside David Bowie, Taylor Swift, and U2 on the all-time list of acts with the most No. 1 albums in the U.K.
Stewart’s One Last Time world tour, launched in 2024, is a global box office smash—ranked among the Top 20 Global Concert Tours of 2024—and continues with sold-out shows across North America, Europe, South America, and beyond. In Las Vegas, his record-setting 13-year residency Rod Stewart: The Hits became one of the most successful runs in Caesars Palace history, drawing hundreds of thousands of fans. Due to overwhelming demand, he has returned with The Encore Shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
A two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Stewart’s extraordinary catalog includes ten U.K. No. 1 albums, 31 U.K. Top 10 singles, 17 U.S. Top 10 albums, and 16 U.S. Top 10 singles. He has earned countless of the industry’s highest honours, including the ASCAP Founders Award for songwriting, Grammy™ Living Legend, New York Times bestselling author, a Lifetime Achievement award from The American Music Awards.and in 2016 he was bestowed his most treasured honour when he was knighted at Buckingham Palace for his services to music and charity.
