Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Announces Final Table for 2024 WPT Poker Showdown Championship

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood concluded its 2024 Poker Showdown on Tuesday, April 23 following a successful three-week run. The Poker Showdown kicked off on Wednesday, April 3 and saw 75 primary events and 22,496 total entries, the most in a single series, topping the 2023 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown. The tournament boasted more than $20 million in prize pools.

With 1,869 entries in the WPT Poker Showdown Championship, the final prize pool is more than $5.9 million, easily exceeding the $3 million guarantee. The field is down to its final six players who will reconvene on Wednesday, May 29 in Las Vegas for a televised final table.

·       Seat 5: Landon Tice – 13,700,000 (69 bb)

·       Seat 6: Josh Reichard – 20,575,000 (103 bb)

1st: $839,300 (includes a seat in WPT World Championship)

6th: $176,000

Poker Showdown kicked off on Wednesday, April 3 with the $400 Deep Stack No Limit Hold ‘em series opener. With more than 4,772 entries, the event surpassed the $1 million guarantee, creating a total prize pool of more than $1.5 million. Jesus Martinez of San Antonio, Texas won the opener earning $169,690.

Other signature event winners include:

·       Cuba Levenberry (Hollywood, Fla.) winning the $600 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry) for $301,920

·       Art Peacock (Jupiter, Fla.) winning the $2,200 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry) for $108,230

·       Brandon Wilson (Grand Prairie, Texas) winning the $25,500 High-Roller NLH (Re-Entry) for $601,800

·       Chance Kornuth (Las Vegas, NV) winning the $10,000 Heads-Up NLH for $133,000

·       Diomig Delgado (Naples, Fla.) winning the $5,000 Deep Stack Eight Handed NLH (Re-Entry) for $159,950

Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown also hosted the “Larry Frank Memorial Charity Event Benefitting Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida” on Thursday, April 18. The charity event was in honor of Larry Frank, with proceeds going to Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida. The event had more than 126 entries and a prize pool of $13,700 + $9,200 in non-cash prizes. Stewart Chantler of Toronto, Ontario, Canada won the top prize of $5,000 plus a $3,500 seat in the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship.
