The Colin Dorion Trio

After touring through many major cities such as Boston, LA, 3 months in Mexico, and studying at Berklee College of Music as well as with jazz greats like Bobby Broom,  Geof Bradfield and renowned Jazz educator Ernest Dawkins, Colin has become a versatile jazz drummer residing in Chicago IL.  Colin released his debut record under his own name at age 21. He can be seen at prominent Chicago venues such as The Hungry Brain, Clara and the Whistler. Colin leads his own trio with Marion Mallard on bass and Ben Crino on guitar, and is one third of the Solomon Lindenberg trio and well as the Kari Bunn Trio  Not only is Colin dedicated to the study of jazz from modern all the way to the roots of the African Diaspora, he is an active music educator in Chicago music schools.
