STAGES is a four-piece band that plays the best Adult Contemporary music around. It features Valerie Soetermans on vocals, Jay Soetermans on drums, Andrew Cole on bass, and Dave Hernandez on organ/keyboard.

You will hear the best music ranging from Stevie Wonder, KD Lang, Bonnie Raitt, and Ray Charles, to Sade and Elle King. These band members have been playing around the Rockford area and beyond for much of their lives. High-caliber professionalism melded with an unplugged vibe provides your entertainment experience with unparalleled excellence.

Singer Valerie Soetermans graduated from Millikin University with a BFA degree in Musical Theatre and Dance. In New York City, she performed a cabaret act for 3 years before accepting a position as a back-up singer and dancer for Louise Mandrell. She then toured the U.S. with Louise for the next six years. Valerie has performed in music videos and concerts with such superstars as Dolly Parton, Kenny Chesney, Billy Ray Cyrus, Faith Hill and Vince Gill. In addition to videos and concerts, she was trained at TVI Actors Studio in Hollywood, California, and has appeared in the TV shows, Family Matters, Melrose Place, 90210, Vital Signs, Mad TV, and several HBO specials. In Rockford, Valerie has sung with the bands Prime Time Live, The Missing Links, and now with her own band, Stages.
