Data released Friday by the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) show Hard Rock last month also tallied more "win," or revenue after paying successful bettors, than any of the 11 other commercial casinos in the Hoosier State for a 29th consecutive month.
Hard Rock reported $42.6 million in March win — a 7.5% increase compared to its March 2023 win of $39.7 million, and the highest monthly win in Gary since legal gaming began in the Steel City in 1996, according to the IGC.
In fact, the Gary gaming, dining and entertainment destination alone accounted for almost one-fifth of the state’s $223.4 million in total casino win for the third month of 2024.
Matt Schuffert, president of Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana, described its March revenue results as "amazing."
"We continue to see strong growth on the slot side of our business ... (and) we continue to add new and exciting slots to our gaming floor, which our guests have appreciated. It was a month where we also had the largest amount of slot winners — paying a record $22.4 million in jackpots," Schuffert said.
"With a strong spring entertainment calendar and new restaurant menus, we look forward to further success as an entertainment destination."
Records show Hard Rock’s state-leading slot machine play totaled an incredible $324.7 million in March, with a state-best win of $31.7 million; compared to March 2024 slot win of $28.5 million on $290.2 million in play.
