Rockford, Ill – This afternoon, Hard Rock Casino Rockford President Geno Iafrate and Vice President of Finance Wendy Alsteen led a group of media members on a behind the scenes tour of the ongoing construction progress at the casino’s permanent location.

“Today is a major milestone for everyone at Hard Rock as we are seeing the foundation of this world-class casino,” said Iafrate. “We believe the Hard Rock Casino Rockford, will be a cornerstone development not just for Rockford, but for the entire region. We are excited to showcase Hard Rock’s world-class gaming, dining, and entertainment offerings to guests from all corners of the globe.”

Slated to be completed later this summer, the Hard Rock Casino Rockford will include more than 180,000 square feet featuring 1,000+ slots, dozens of table games, a sports book, a Rock Shop, a Hard Rock Live entertainment venue and authentic music memorabilia. The casino will also include various restaurants including Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, Brick’d Oven Pizza, as well as specialty taco and Asian concepts, and more.

The project is expected to create approximately 1,200 construction-specific jobs, with leaders currently recruiting more than 400 full and part-time positions for the permanent casino.

Currently, Hard Rock Casino Rockford is operating at Rockford Casino – A Hard Rock Opening Act until the opening of the permanent location. Since opening in November 2021, the temporary location has drawn in more than 1.25 million guests from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and 28 additional countries and territories, including more than 1 in 4 of their Illinois guests visiting from the Chicagoland area.
