Metallica’s M72 tour is coming to Tampa for two nights at Raymond James Stadium on June 6 and June 8. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa will host an epic “Metallica Takeover” on the day between shows, Saturday, June 7, featuring three exciting events honoring the legendary band at both Hard Rock Event Center and Hard Rock Cafe. 

All event tickets start at $20 and will be available Friday, May 2, at 10 a.m. via casino.hardrock.com.

The festivities kick off at 3:30 p.m. at Hard Rock Event Center with The Art of Squindo, a conversation with artist Tony Squindo discussing his prolific work with Metallica and various other artists and projects. Squindo is known for his prolific work designing Metallica’s graphics, merchandise, and more. Squindo has also collaborated with notable artists including The Ramones, The Misfits, and Paul McCartney. Doors open at 2 p.m.

Kirk Hammett, legendary guitarist of the multi-platinum-selling and 9X GRAMMY® Award-winning band Metallica, will join Gibson’s Mark Agnesi for Kirk Hammett / The Collection: Live at 7 p.m. The live discussion, taking place at Hard Rock Event Center, will offer guests an intimate look into Hammett’s storied music career and celebrate the launch of his new coffee table book, The Collection: Kirk Hammett from Gibson Publishing. Available worldwide on Gibson.com, The Collection: Kirk Hammett takes the deepest-ever dive into the iconic guitars Hammett has rocked on stages with Metallica for over 40 years.

Following the evening’s conversations, Hard Rock Cafe will keep the momentum going at 10 p.m. with Hardwired – The Tribute to Metallica live performance. Hardwired is a premier Metallica Tribute band based in Tampa. The band has become a household name in the Tribute World. In November of 2022, Hardwired had the honor of being invited by none other than Metallica themselves to perform the night before the iconic Zazula Tribute show. The band has also developed and maintained a working relationship with and is fueled by Metallica’s Blackened Whiskey. Hardwired does their best to make you feel like you are at a Metallica show. Performing songs from all eras of Metallica’s iconic Hall of Fame career. With custom Metallica instruments in tow, Stage props and a goal to get everyone out of their seats.
