Project Vision

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon is a billion dollar entertainment destination that will bolster Kern County’s growing economy and provide numerous benefits to the region. The Hard Rock Tejon will increase tourism, create approximately 5,000 jobs, increase investment and purchasing in the local economy, provide resources and services for Tejon Indian Tribe members, build privately funded infrastructure improvements at no cost to taxpayers, and add new entertainment amenities.

The proposed project is located approximately 25 minutes south of Bakersfield and is expected to create more than 5,000 direct and indirect construction and permanent jobs once completed.

The Governor has signed a tribal-state gaming compact between the State of California and the Tejon Indian Tribe and the concurrence, which puts the land into trust by the Federal government and allows gaming on tribal land. The Compact now moves to the California Legislature for ratification. Both Hard Rock International and the Tejon Tribal leadership are working diligently to start construction. While we do not have a definitive date, we are working steadfastly to get the project open. It will take a least 20 months from the groundbreaking to the grand opening. Please stay tuned for updates.

Hard Rock International will bring all of its excitement, entertainment, and expertise to the Tejon Tribe’s property. For more specific information on the Tejon Indian Tribe, please visit TejonIndianTribe.com.
