Ja Rule is an award-winning rapper, actor and entrepreneur. Born and raised in New York City, Ja Rule is an icon in the music industry. He is regarded as one of the most successful rappers of all time with multiple hits that made the top 20 of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, including the number 1 hit "Always on Time, "featuring Ashanti. During his time making music, he was a songwriter for today's top artists including Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, and Fat Joe, among many other legendary singers. Ja is also a renowned with roles in films such as "The Fast and The Furious," "Scary Movie," and "Assault on Precinct 13." While he is known for his success in the rap, music and entertainment industry, is also an established entrepreneur with a variety of ventures in the entertainment space including his ICONN Live app, creation of the wine label, "Rose Vine Cellars," and more. Outside of the music and business spaces, Ja Rule is an awarded philanthropist, donating proceeds of The Painted House's "Black is Beautiful" Campaign to select HBCU partners, including Spellman, Morgan State and Morehouse, as well as being awarded the Audacious Award for helping to build a school in Ghana from Pencils of Promise, founded by Adam Braun. He was also honored by the Youth Shelter Program of Westchester for his work helping to keep young boys out of prison.
