Commodores, Spinners Coming to Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati in January
CINCINNATI (October 20, 2023) -- Soul and R&B legends The Commodores, and The Spinners will bring their hits to the Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati on Saturday, January 27 at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale at HardRockCasinoCincinnati.com via Ticketmaster.
The Commodores started as a student group at Tuskegee University and released their first album in 1974. In 1977 the group had its biggest hit to date, “Easy,” reaching #4 in the United States. After that came a string of hits, including “Brick House,” “Three Times a Lady” and “Sail On.” The group won a Grammy in 1986 for the song, “Nightshift.”
The group has been inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and Vocal Group Hall of Fame and has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide.
The Spinners became one of the biggest soul groups of the 1970s, starting with “I’ll Be Around,” their first Top 10 hit and first million-selling single. After that came a string of hits, including “Could It Be I’m Falling in Love,” “One of a Kind (Love Affair),” and the duet with Dionne Warwick, “Then Came You,” which hit number one on Billboard’s Hot 100. Other hits include “Games People Play” and “The Rubberband Man.” The Spinners have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2023.
