Lee Greenwood

Greenwood is an American country artist who bridged the gap between traditional and contemporary country music. He is best known for his patriotic anthem “God Bless the USA.” This legendary song has been in the top five on the country singles charts three times (1991, 2001 and 2003) giving it the distinction of being the only song in any genre of music to achieve that feat.

An award-winning artist, Greenwood has won the Grammy Award for Best Male Country Performance, two CMA Awards for Male Vocalist of the Year, the CMA Song of the Year award, and the ACM Male Vocalist of the Year award. He has 32 charted singles, four gold albums, two platinum albums, and has scored seven number one hits: “Somebody’s Gonna Love You,” “Going, Going, Gone,” “Dixie Road,” “I Don’t Mind the Thorns (If You’re the Rose),” “Don’t Underestimate My Love For You,” “Hears Aren’t Made to Break (They’re Made to Love)” and “Mornin’ Ride.”

Greenwood continues to tour across the country and performs for many charitable events, lending his time and name to numerous organizations including Helping A Hero, which provides specially adapted homes for wounded warriors and their families.
