311 was formed in 1990 in Omaha, Nebraska, featuring Nick Hexum (vocals/guitar), Chad Sexton (drums), Tim Mahoney (guitar), SA Martinez (vocals/dj), and P-Nut (bass). 311 mixes rock, rap, reggae & funk into their own unique, hybrid sound – and 32 years later, the band is still regarded as one of the most entertaining & dynamic live bands in the U.S. As veterans of over 2,000 shows across 27 countries, 311 is one of the longest running original lineups in rock, alongside iconic acts like U2 and Radiohead. 311 have released thirteen studio albums, two greatest hits albums, two live albums, three DVD's and a boxed-set, and have sold over 9 million records in the U.S. Ten albums have reached the Top 10 on Billboard's Top 200 Sales Chart - and nine of their singles have reached the Top 10 on Billboard's Alternative Radio Chart - including three #1 singles: Down, Love Song & Don't Tread On Me - along with Amber, All Mixed Up, Come Original, Creatures For Awhile, Hey You and Sunset in July. On the 2018 song “Cannonball,” AWOLNATION mastermind Aaron Bruno sang, “I wear my heart on my sleeve ‘cause it's all that I know.” The same could be said for his multifaceted forays into music – he follows his heart not a plan. After he broke through with the improbable, worldwide hit “Sail” in 2011 – which has since been certified diamond for sales of 10 million units – Bruno could have made carbon copies to keep on rolling. But he didn’t. He continued to create a diverse umbrella of sounds to explore under that tag and released singles that both topped the modern rock radio chart and received recognition among fellow artists and his musical heroes. While there was a clear dance/electronic and indie rock synergy on the platinum album Megalithic Symphony (2011) and its follow-up Run (2015), classic rock sounds became more prevalent on Here Come The Runts (2018) and Angel Miners & the Lightning Riders (2020). And the 2022 covers collection My Echo, My Shadow, My Covers, and Me makes you think that Bruno was born to sing tunes like Michael Sembello’s “Maniac” and the Alan Parson Project’s “Eye In the Sky”. He’s an old school soul cloaked in modern vibes. Following the release of the 2022 covers album AWOLNATION released the first new original music since their 2020 album, with the Candy Pop EP in November 2023. AWOLNATION’s fifth original full-length album will be forthcoming in 2024.
If you’re going to do something, do it with all you’ve got. That’s how Tyler Glenn approaches  everything, from making music to living authentically to creating welcoming spaces for those around him. It’s also a sensibility that’s evident on Neon Trees’ upcoming fifth studio album, slated for spring 2024. Since releasing their debut album, Habits, in 2010, Neon Trees have cemented themselves as a dynamic, engaging band who has consistently put in the work for over a decade. They’ve performed at major festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, Life Is Beautiful and Bottle Rock, and opened for genre-spanning artists like My Chemical Romance, Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift, as well as headlined sold-out tours of their own. The band has amassed one billion streams and recently logged over 40 million views on TikTok, while garnering acclaim from Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly and USA Today. With each subsequent release, Neon Trees have continued to push upward and onward.
