Seminole Casino Hotel Welcomes Hispanic Heritage Music Festival with Headliner Tito Nieves Oct 7
Oct. 7 Event in Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month Features Tito Nieves
IMMOKALEE, Fla. (July 21, 2023) – Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee has announced a change to the lineup of the Oct. 7 Latinos Unidos Music Festival. Celia Cruz All Stars will not appear as previously announced; instead, Roberto Torres will perform.
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee will host the Latinos Unidos festival featuring headline performer Tito Nieves Saturday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. with gates opening at 1 p.m. General admission tickets for this outdoor concert start at $39; VIP tickets start at $69 and include upfront seating and two drink tickets for beer, wine or soda. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster or at www.moreinparadise.com. Parking is free and a variety of food trucks will be participating.
In addition to Nieves, festival performers include Roberto Torres, Cachao’s Mambo All-Stars, Cortadito, and Bajo Zero.
Born in Puerto Rico, Tito Nieves is known for such hit songs as “Sonambulo,” “I Like It Like That,” and “El Amor Mas Bonito.” Affectionately known as “El (Luciano) Pavarotti De La Salsa,” Nieves rose to fame during the 1980s and has produced or contributed to nearly 40 recordings since 1988.
Roberto Torres is the iconic and legendary Cuban-born singer, bandleader, percussionist, composer and producer known the world over for his interpretation of Simón Díaz’s “Caballo Viejo.” Torres is considered one of the highest authorities in the history of the Cuban music.
Cachao’s Mambo All-Stars is a group of stellar Cuban musicians who strive to preserve the memory of the legendary Israel López Valdés, the iconic double bassist and composer known as one of the co-creators of Mambo.
Cortadito is a traditional folk and acoustic band that focuses on performing one of the earliest styles of Cuban country music know as Son and their sound can best be described as reminiscent of the famed Buena Vista Social Club.
Bajo Zero is a Florida-based Tejano band with accolades including the 2015 Tejano Music Award for Best New Male Artist and 2022 Tejano Mundial Award for Norteño Song of the Year.
