For Hard Rock properties, the brand is usually attached to a geographical location (typically the largest local city) -- in this case, Sacramento. Yuba County and Sutter County are also both parts of the Sacramento Valley, so the name "Sacramento" certainly has relevance.Because our property is designed to be a regional destination resort for all of Northern California (as well as the nation and international travelers), we want to make sure potential visitors have a starting point as to where the property is located. Yuba County, Plumas Lake, or Wheatland just aren't well known enough yet to serve that larger purpose. However, in the next 10-20 years with all the growth occurring in the southern part of both counties, and with Sacramento expanding northward, the two areas are likely to grow closer together, making the name Sacramento even more relevant and appropriate.
