1973 George Thorogood and the Destroyers perform first show on December 1 at Lane Hall, University of Delaware
1976 Band records first album in May titled George Thorogood and the Destroyers for Rounder Records
On July 4, Bill Blough plays first gig as bass player at JC Dobbs in Philadelphia for the Bicentennial
Bill Blough puts bass tracks on debut record in September
1977 Rounder Records releases George Thorogood and the Destroyers in August
The band travels to California in the fall, plays seven sold out shows at the Boarding House in San Francisco, as the record starts to catch on around the U.S.
1978 Move It On Over is recorded in February in Boston, Massachusetts
Band starts first cross-country tour in April
Band goes to Europe for the first time in June.

1980 Hank Carter (saxophonist) joins the band; begins a Southern tour across the U.S.

Band supports the Rolling Stones in the United States on the “Start Me Up” Tour
1982 Band records Bad To The Bone for EMI

Band supports the Rolling Stones in Europe on the “Start Me Up” Tour
1983 Band records “Rock-n-roll Christmas” for MTV, and shoots the video
Band attempts “Around the World in 80 Days” tour, but was cut short due to a riot at a festival in Spain
1985 Band releases Maverick for EMI
Band shoots video for “I Drink Alone”.
