Hard Rock Cafe Sacramento honors Raiders legend and Football Hall of Famer Fred Biletnikoff in Celebrity Burger Program in February

(Wheatland, Calif. – February 1, 2023) – Hard Rock Café Sacramento at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain continued their monthly “celebrity burger” program recognizing local personalities here in Northern California. For February, just in time for the “Big Game”, Raiders legend and Football Hall-of-Famer Fred Biletnikoff will be honored with a custom burger.

Biletnikoff was drafted by the Raiders in 1965.  As of his retirement from active play as a wide receiver in 1978, he was ranked No. 2 all-time in history of Silver and Black with 589 career catches and 4th on the NFL all- time receiving list. He played in Super Bowls II and XI.  He also played in two AFL All-Star games and four AFC-NFC Pro Bowl games as well as three AFL and five AFC championship games. He was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame in 1988. He then returned to the Raiders in various coaching positions until retirement in 2006.

Biletnikoff worked closely with Hard Rock Sacramento Executive Chef Ray Leung on a burger customized to his favorite flavors. The Fred Biletnikoff Burger features a fresh 8 oz. hand-ground beef patty, a slice of Cheddar cheese, topped with a slice of fresh tomato, lots of crisp lettuce, sliced jalapenos and red onion, all within a freshly baked Brioche bun.

“Fred Biletnikoff has had a legendary athletic career, one with deep roots in Northern California while the Raiders played in Oakland,” explained Mark Birtha, President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain.  “We are honored to include him in our burger program for the month of February to close out this year’s NFL season.”

After a year of running this program, Hard Rock Sacramento will donate to the charity of choice to the celebrity that has the highest monthly burger sales.
