Dusty Baker, a leftfielder primarily known for hitting home runs, played 19 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), most notably with the Los Angeles Dodgers as well as stints with the San Francisco Giants and Oakland A's. After retiring, Baker became an MLB team manager for the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds and Washington Nationals until he took over managing the Houston Astros in 2020. In 2022, Baker led them to a Major League World Series Championship. In 2013, Dusty Baker teamed up with winemaker Chik Brenneman to create B and B Wines. His eponymous Baker Family Wines is an urban winery brand specializing in handcrafted and limited productions wines, bottled in West Sacramento.

 

Baker worked closely with Hard Rock Sacramento Executive Chef Ray Leung on a burger customized to his favorite flavors. The Dusty Baker Burger features a fresh 8 oz. Angus beef patty, 2 slices of fresh Pastrami, a slice of Provolone cheese, topped with a slice of fresh tomato, red onion, lots of crisp lettuce, garlic sauce, mayo and mustard, all within a freshly baked Brioche bun.

 

"Dusty Baker has had a legendary baseball career, one with deep roots in California given his history playing for the Dodgers, Giants, and A's, as well as managing the Giants," explained Mark Birtha, President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain. "We are honored to include him in our burger program for the month of March just as spring training gets underway and the formal baseball season begins in April."
