The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City community takes its Love All – Serve All motto very seriously. And part of that love – and service – is to look out for each others’ health.
And since February is American Heart Health Month, Hard Rock will engage its team members and customers in a variety of ways in hopes of loving and serving each other for a long, long time.
For starters, Hard Rock will offer Heart Healthy retail items that will be available in the Hard Rock Shop beginning Jan. 29. One of the coolest items will be a face mask featuring a heart with cool Aerosmith-like wings that will help keep you safe from COVID-19 while also promoting the Heart Healthy Month message in a fashionable way. To make buying that mask a no-brainer, a portion of proceeds will also be donated to the AtlantiCare Foundation.
To show Hard Rock’s appreciation for AtlantiCare’s commitment to heart health in South Jersey, Hard Rock’s Women in Leadership will treat AtlantiCare’s Cardiovascular Unit to a heart-healthy lunch.
The casino and resort will also offer weekly heart-healthy benefits and tips every Wednesday, participate in National Wear Red Day on Feb. 5, sponsor a team member blood drive on Feb. 24 and even offer employees a heart-healthy menu option in the employee dining room and a back-of-house walking map encouraging exercise during breaks.
If you come to Hard Rock, you will notice the property’s interior and exterior lights will display a red theme for the month. And diners will be able to order heart-healthy menu specials at Kuro and Council Oaks Steaks & Seafood.
Another reason to visit Hard Rock in February is to get some exercise and walk their self-guided memorabilia tour while listening to a themed, 15-song playlist on Spotify made just for the occasion, including “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor, “Physical” by Olivia Newton-John, “Open Your Heart” by Madonna, “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” by Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks and many more. The Heart Health Tour is mapped out at the bottom of this blog!
Hard Rock’s goal is to engage its team members and its customers in an important conversation and awareness campaign to become healthier through heart-healthy choices and behaviors. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women and people of most racial and ethnic groups in the United States. More than 655,000 American die from heart disease every year. Eating a healthier diet, not smoking and exercising can reduce those numbers drastically.
So head to the Hard Rock for some heart-healthy fun in February!
