Championship Night

On Saturday, September 19, Hard Rock Atlantic City will host a historic celebration for the New York Knicks, the 2026 NBA Champions, while honoring two of our local sports heroes from Atlantic County.

 

Leon Rose, President of the New York Knicks, since 2020, with a distinguished career as a basketball agent at CAA Sports, a division of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), for more than 500 of the world’s best athletes and sports personalities in the world. Leon was ranked as the second most powerful basketball agent on Forbes’ 2019 list of the world’s most powerful sports agents.

 

We will also proudly recognize William Wesley who spent six years assembling a roster, a culture, and a belief that ended a fifty-three year wait for this unprecedented Championship! "World Wide Wes", is an American basketball executive and Executive VP – Senior Basketball Advisor for the New York Knicks. Wes has built his relationships with stars like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Allen Iverson, and Carmelo Anthony, as well as coaches like John Calipari. A former Creative Artists Agency consultant, Wesley’s career began selling sneakers at Pro Shoes in New Jersey, where he connected with future pros. A close friend of Knicks president Leon Rose, Wesley has advised on high-profile decisions, including LeBron James’s 2010 free agency, and helped return the Knicks to playoff contention.

 

During this special celebration, we say thank you for their incredible contributions and accomplishments. 

 

Guests will spend the evening with the Championship Trophy, Knicks Alumni, and special guests from across sports and entertainment, with cocktails, dinner, and live entertainment in Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena.

 

Ticket proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City.
