Atlantic City, N.J. (July 20, 2026) – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City celebrated the opening of its highly anticipated Indian restaurant, Sitar, with a special grand opening celebration featuring music, dancers and more on Friday, July 17.

Named after the iconic instrument, Sitar blends modern sophistication with deep cultural roots. Located near the Sound Waves venue, Sitar offers an upscale take on Indian dining in a sleek 2,600 square ft. setting and features live music with boardwalk views.

Led by Executive Chef Christopher Corda, Sitar's menu celebrates the diverse regional flavors of India through a refined, contemporary approach. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of appetizers for both vegetarians and meat lovers, along with signature Sigri and Tandoor specialties, flavorful curries, rice dishes and more.

Signature chef specialty entrées include Sultans Nalli Korma E Khass, featuring slow-cooked lamb shank in a rich onion, almond and cashew sauce finished with vark and makhana; Truck Stop Karahi Chicken, prepared with hand-pulled tandoori chicken, tomato yogurt reduction, kasoori methi, roasted garlic, cilantro, green chilies and slivered ginger; and Pastooni Lobster Masala, made with lobster tail in a creamy coconut and tomato reduction accented with Chablis, methi and honey.

Sitar is one of several exciting additions unveiled as part of Hard Rock Atlantic City's $50 million capital improvement plan for 2026. Earlier this summer, the resort welcomed Federal Donuts & Chicken, bringing its acclaimed donuts, fried chicken and coffee to the property. Additional enhancements include the renovation of more than 700 standard guest rooms, more than 60 suites and eight penthouses in the North Tower, as well as refreshed walkways and corridors throughout the resort.
